Accommodation
Support from the Hosting Institution:
During the Regional Contest in Aizu, the ICPC host institution
will provide accommodation including breakfast for the three competing contest team members and a coach per team
under the following conditions:
- For Japanese teams the travel fee will be compensated. The coaches who are graduate students only will have some support covering their travel expenses.
- For foreign teams, only the accommodation fee will be covered
by the 2003 Aizu Contest. In order to encourage Asian teams to participate ICPC Asia contests in a foreign country,
the Asia Contests Director prepares limited budget each year to tokenly support limited number of teams traveling
to foreign countries. Refer, please, to the Asia-Specific
Regional Contest Rules. Each foreign team shall be responsible
for his/her own trip to Aizu and back to their home institution.
- For all teams, the support is limited only to one coach and
three contestants per team. Breakfast will be served to those who have meal coupons given by the hotel when you
check in. You do not need to make any reservation directly contacting the hotel. The ICPC host institution will
take care of their reservations. The 2003 Aizu Contest will include a welcome reception, an award ceremony, as
well as food for participants while the contest is underway.
- Members can stay for the night of November 2. You may leave right after the Award Ceremony on the evening of November
2. However, for those who wish to stay one more night in Aizu, deepening international relations and communication
and enjoying sightseeing in Urabandai Resort Area on the following day, the ICPC host institution has reserved
the hotels to stay overnight at no charge for the competed team members and their coaches. Complementary breakfast
will be served. There may be some cost involved for those who accompany the team and would also like to stay there.
- There will be an optional sightseeing tour in the following
day if you are interested. The tour ends at JR Koriyama Station around 4 PM. If you wish to stay for the night
of November 2, contact Yuko Kesen (aizu-icpc@u-aizu.ac.jp). If you are also interested in an optional excursion on the following day,
indicate so in your mail. Such as reserves, second coach, and guests to accompany the team shall be financially
responsible for their own visit to Aizu as well as accommodation. If you would like to have the ICPC host institution
provide the hotel information for your convenience, contact Yuko Kesen (aizu-icpc@u-aizu.ac.jp).
