SCOPE AND TOPICS

We cordially invite you to CIT2007, the IEEE 7th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology, to be held in a beautiful resort of Japan, Oct. 16-19, 2007. CIT has become a major platform for researchers and industry practitioners from different fields of computer and information technology. Each year, CIT attendees appreciate and benefit from multidisciplinary exchanges in computer and information technology. This year, CIT will be jointly held with several other conferences: International Society for Bioelectromagnetism
(ICBEM 2007, http://www.u-aizu.ac.jp/conference/icbem07/ )
International Workshop on Databases in Networked Information Systems
(DNIS 2007, http://www.u-aizu.ac.jp/labs/sw-db/DNIS2007.html )
Eighth International Symposium on Spatial Media
(ISSM'07-'08, http://www.u-aizu.ac.jp/~mcohen/welcome/ISSM/07-08/ )
IEEE Professional Communication Seminar in Japan
(PCSJ, http://www.u-aizu.ac.jp/~t-orr/IPCJ2007.html )
This unified schedule highlights CIT2007 and gives a unique opportunity, through keynotes and scientific sessions, for computer scientists to exchange information technology in biomedicine, database systems, spatial media, and professional communication.

CIT2007 will be held in the most beautiful season in an area famous for its beautiful nature, tradition of Japanese culture, and history. We will make every effort to make your stay and participation fruitful and pleasant, including a reception, banquet, and a short excursion, and look forward to meeting you in October 2007.

The technical program will include refereed paper presentations. In a departure from past meetings of the conference, the research track will highlight foundational work that strives to push beyond limits of existing computer technologies, including experimental efforts, innovative systems, and investigations that identify weaknesses in existing IT services.

The technical program will consist of the following technical tracks. Topics within each track will be elaborated on the homepage.
o Databases and Data Mining
o Internet and Web Applications
o High Performance Computing
o Networking and Mobile Computing
o Data Processing, Multimedia Systems, Image Processing,
and Mixed/Virtual Reality
