 Workshop on New Concepts in Image Processing and Image Understanding
 (NCIPIU): novel approaches to solve hard problems in in computer processing of
 natural images on a way to achieve human level vision using awarness
 concepts.

 Awareness Science and Technology & Ubi-Media Computing (iCAST 2013 &
 UMEDIA 2013)

 Objectives:
 
 The awarness approach to machine intelligence proposes a different
 approaches to intelligent machines that focuses on topics such as 
 meta-information, meta-learning, feature selection, higher-level
 understanding of informatio and hardware for software improvement.
 The NCIPCU workshop is a focused workshop on the impact of the awarness
 concepts in image processing and image understnading. In particular
 focus of this workshop are the following topics:
 
 - Meta-Learning for Image Processing (Algorithm Selection, Feature Selection, Parameter
   Selection)
 - Symbolic Information Image Processing Systems (Expert Systems, Bayesian Network, Content
   Verification)
 - Active Vision and Sensor-Motor Integration for Image Understanding
 - Context analysis and integration to image processing
 - Scene dependant awarness for Image Understnading
 - Machine Learning for Image Processing(SVM, Boosting, Statistical Approaches)
 - Software for Hardware (Feature Acceleration, Machine Learning
   Acceleration, Dedicated Processors, etc.)
 - Application Oriented systems (Natural Image processing, medical image
   processing, industrial image processing, etc).
