Paper Submission
■Papers for regular sessions

Please submit a 200 word abstract at the following web site by May 29, 2009:

Note that revised and extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in some journal special issues. Authors considering to publish their work in the special issues have to submit the extended summary of approximately 1,000 words (or a 6 page manuscript) . Detailed information related to paper submission can be found in the instructions for authors.

■Proposals for organized session (OS)

We welcome as many proposals as possible for OS in this symposium. Please submit your proposal to FAN09 Organizing Committee with the following data:

  1. Name of the OS
  2. Information of the organizer (name, affiliation, and contact addresses)
  3. A list of papers to be included in the OS (Each session contains about 4 or 5 papers. If there are many papers, please consider dividing the papers into 2 or more sessions)
  4. For each paper, a tentative title and the author information (name and affiliation) should be provided

We will contact the organizer after the OS is registered by the organizing committee. Each paper should be submitted at the following web site by June 5, 2009:

Awards
■Best Paper Awards

The Best Paper Awards will be given to 5 well-written papers selected from all refereed papers published at FAN2009. The first author of the paper must be 40 years old or younger. Please declare your eligibility of receiving the Best Paper Award when you submit your paper. Selection of the candidates for the Best Paper Awards will be performed by the Award Evaluation Committee based on the review reports of the program committee members.

■Best Presentation Awards

The Best Presentation Awards will be given to 10 papers well presented at the symposium. The winners must be 35 years old or younger. The top award will be named the Wada Award, which is a special award of the FAN symposium. Please declare your eligibility of receiving the Best Presentation Award when you submit your paper. Selection of the candidates for the best presentation awards will be performed by the Steering Committee of the FAN Symposium based on the evaluation reports collected during the symposium.

Registration Fee
The registration fee includes a free copy of the symposium proceedings. Banquet should be paid for separately. In addition, "member" means membership in SOFT or in any supporting societies.
