授業の概要／Course outline	This course introduces students to philosophy through problems or “puzzles” discussed in the history of the western philosophy. Those problems are typically concerned with the nature of the world, god, mind, and morality: Where did the universe come from? Can we know other people’s minds? Can machines think? What is it to be morally good and bad? What is it to know something? Each class presents one of those philosophical puzzles and we will think through about them. In so doing we will learn the philosophical and analytical way of thinking, which could enable us to think more clearly and critically when we face complicated problems even in the fields other than philosophy.

授業の概要／Course outline	The Chinese civilization, which was nurtured around the two major rivers of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, has an eternal history and ideas suitable for it, and has a vast amount of literature and culture. They approach us with overwhelming brilliance and depth, no matter how we cut out any era. It is the origin of Japanese culture, the origin of Oriental culture. It is said that Chinese literature can only be completed in one subdivision unless it is a scholarship of eight sects (one cannot be mastered unless you are proficient in all genres). It is a profound and irrelevant discipline that covers all fields of academic literature. For example, the original Chinese literature includes even science fields such as medicine, flora and fauna, astronomy, and physics. Li Haku, Du Fu, The Analects and Sangokushi are just a few of the Chinese literature. Of course, in the short lecture, I do not have the opportunity to touch Chinese literature in the field of science, but I have conveyed the understanding and understanding of the shaman (ancient magician) called "shrine celebration", which can be said to be the origin of various cultures. We would like to learn about the medium "Kanji" and the world of " Storytelling " and "Chinese poetry" that have blossomed as ideas and literature.

履修上の留意点／Note for course registration	You will be required to take notes on the matters and content written on the board every hour. Literary, cultural, and artistic ideas are very important even for science students. For example, Hideki Yukawa, the first Japanese to win the Nobel Prize in Physics, and Hideo Itokawa, the father of Japanese rocket development and space development, both loved Chinese writing and art. In particular, Yukawa often mentions that he was greatly influenced by Chinese literature such as "Laozi" and "Zhuangzi" in his idea of quantum mechanics. From this lecture, learn not only cultural knowledge but also oriental ideas and perspectives.

授業の概要／Course outline	Featuring Japan art from prehistoric times to the present day with cross-sectional themes that transcend eras, artists, and genres, students learn about the background of their works, the trends of the recipient class, cultivate the knowledge and sensitivity to appreciate past cultural heritage and contemporary works of art, and cultivate creative ideas and perspectives, rather than chronological art history and artist theory. In addition, it is hoped that students will deepen their understanding of the culture of the Aizu region, broaden their understanding of social participation through art, and reflect the ideas and insights they have gained through the lectures in their own research areas.

授業の概要／Course outline	The gender and sexuality studies use social-scientific approaches to matters related to the sexes such as biological sexes, psychosexuality and sociosexuality, sexual desires, and sexual behaviors. In the introduction, students will learn the overall territory of the gender and sexuality studies. Afterwards, students will learn three main themes; 1) modern family and working females, 2) matters related to gender and sexuality, and 3) modern history of homosexuality in Japan. 1) Modern family and working females: Students will learn about sex-role “male should work outside, female should do housework and take care of children at home” and modern family which emphasizes an interest to children and family ties at household. Moreover students will have an opportunity to think about how the norm surrounding a modern family is interrupting working female. On the other hand, students will learn the circumstances of the gender norm which shapes the way of life for males as well as that for females. 2) Matters related to gender and sexuality: Based on autonomy of sex, students will learn that everybody has the inherent right of his/her own sexuality which should not be affected by others regardless of his/her gender. However, in the reality, there is the gender asymmetry. Students will learn that sexuality of females is affected by males. In order to establish tight relationship as a member of the society without any gender concerns, understanding about the autonomy of sex is inevitable. 3) Modern history of homosexuality in Japan: Homosexuality will be featured amongst sexual minorities. A method based on historical sociology will be employed. Recently, same-sex marriage and same-sex partnership system have been discussed in Japan. Students will learn that social problems will not be solved only by these factors and gender equality is necessary for it. Since gender and sexuality are linked each other, they will be taught one by one at the class carefully.

The field of economics can generally be divided into two areas: microeconomics (which analyzes choices made by individuals, households, and firms) and macroeconomics (which studies the economy as a whole). This course primarily focuses on microeconomics, introducing basic concepts, theories, and analytical techniques. Economic experiments will also be conducted to empirically explore relevant theories.

成績評価の方法・基準／Grading method/criteria	We will evaluate according to the degree of achievement of goals 1 to 4. In order to acquire credits (pass (C or higher)), ⒈After understanding the guarantee of human rights in the Constitution of Japan, about 60% or more of the overall picture can be explained logically. ⒉After understanding the system governing the country in the Constitution of Japan, be able to logically explain about 60% or more of the overall picture. ⒊ Be able to explain the relationship between the mechanism of governing the country and the guarantee of human rights without contradiction at the level of logic that can be said to be reasonable. ⒋ Be able to explain the process of establishment of the Constitution of Japan at a level that can be said to be reasonable. Final exams and confirmation tests (and/or assignments) are used as a means of evaluating grades. As a guide, 70 points for the final exam and 30 points for the confirmation test (and/or assignments) will be used as a percentage of the grade evaluation.

授業の概要／Course outline	The purpose of this lecture is to learn the analytical perspective and the framework for understanding today's world and Japan, which are at a turning point in light of the spread of coronavirus infection. In this case, the class will be conducted while focusing on the domestic and international situation surrounding Japan after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. "International Relations" is an academic field that science students are not familiar with, but we plan to develop classes while giving consideration to students who do not have basic knowledge of politics, economics, diplomacy, and security issues. In principle, classes are centered on lectures, but we would like to actively incorporate research training, group discussions, and individual presentations. We also want to take enough time to explain current affairs, which are attracting attention in newspapers and news, in order to motivate students to learn. 授業の概要／Course outline	As globalization advances understanding different cultures and diversity of those cultures is becoming more important. Also having tolerance in different culture is becoming as important. In this society which various cultures come to contact, it is necessary to have ability to realize various problems and to solve them considering cultural background. In this course students pick out several themes from history and culture of Aizu. Comparing the theme with one's original culture and history, a student will acquire ability to realize the value of individual culture. At the same time he/she will learn in comparative culture and cultural anthropology point of view that a culture has both personal and universal aspect. Moreover students learn intercultural communication and ability to roll out to the world through discussion among individuals with diverse cultures. Concretely, students will learn climate, culture, history and industry of Aizu. Also will learn vision for the earthquake disaster reconstruction and widen knowledge of Aizu and Japan. Students will create regional identity by making clear the connection with Aizu comparing to one's original culture. The course will raise developing ability so that one's experience can be leveraged. In class a teacher gives lecture. And then students introduce the resource that they brought and explain the difference with their culture. Then students develop the subject by group discussion and create new material. And present thoughts and opinions. In final class each student does a presentation of "suggestion for Aizu using ICT"

授業の概要／Course outline	The business environment is changing drastically in the wake of competition, technology innovation, and disasters. A well-considered business strategy can provide help a company survive under competitive and unstable situations. In this context, theories of business strategy, which have been developed for companies' survival under competitive corporate environments, are being discussed. Visual aids of case studies, role plays, and group discussions will effectively help participants understand the association between theories and practices.

履修上の留意点／Note for course registration	Participants are expected to study for approximately 60 minutes outside the class. The tasks include: - Reading if assigned - Researching specific words in order to generate questions for each session - Summarizing contents of the class in order to explain technical terms - Verbalizing feelings and awareness after each session - Collecting and investigating related information - Please note that the schedule is subject to change depending on the progress. - The assignment for team project will be considered the final paper only when there are many teams. - Please ask the instructor in advance when special help is required in role play and group discussions.

授業の概要／Course outline	The course is designed to help participants understand essential topics in venture business and entrepreneurship, and to build business plans for their venturing business. After dealing with the managerial process on venture business, including entrepreneurships and strategy, effective methods for creating business plans and presentations are discussed. In order to better understand the associations between theories and practices within and outside the country, visual aids and field research methods will be effectively installed, and entrepreneurs will discuss their histories during the semester. In addition, opportunities for group research will develop participants’ communication skills, and business planning process will support intense comprehension of entrepreneurial practices related to theories and regional characteristics.

履修上の留意点／Note for course registration	If students have not taken or completed Business Strategy prior to this course, they will be required to read textbook 5 or 6 in 'References' below. The schedule is subject to change depending on progress. An outline for the team project will be announced in Session 1. You can start working on the project with your team members based on the contents in subsequent sessions. In Session 6, lectures will be provided on methods for field research and presentation to guide participants for creating presentations on their research plans. An entrepreneur will provide feedback on participants’ business plans in Session 14. The assignment for the team project will be considered the final paper only when the number of the teams increases. Please ask the instructor when special help is required in role play and group discussions.

授業の概要／Course outline	This course explores the fundamental theories and principles of psycholinguistics through a combination of theoretical lectures and hands-on practical exercises in coding psycholinguistic experiments and analysis using JavaScript (via PCIbex server) and R language.
