University-Industry cooperation promotion staff
Based upon the regional collaboration cooperation agreement concluded between the University of Aizu and Aizu-Wakamatsu City on Friday, April 21, 2006, Mr. Tadashi Egawa (in charge of the IT-industry promotion), Assistant Director of the Commerce and Industry Division of Aizu-Wakamatsu City Hall has been welcomed as a university-industry cooperation promotion staff member from May, 2006.
The university-industry cooperation promotion staff member is expected to utilize research seeds of the University of Aizu and to stimulate needs from the industrial world, by sharing of information from both of these sources. Aiming at improvement of the foundations of the industry-academia-government cooperation and revitalization of the local economy, the promotion staff member is expected not only to make a contribution to industry-academia-government cooperation for the University of Aizu, but also to promotion of cooperation with local communities.
