Rice Contribution to International Students
The Aizu Sakura-Lanka Association, represented by Ms. Marii Igarashi, made a contribution of fifteen by 30-kilogram bags of rice to international
students of the University of Aizu.
The rice was kindly provided by 8 people living in Aizu Wakamatsu City and Inawashiro Town, and were given to international students through
the Association. The presentation was held at the Director General's Office at the Students Affairs Division on Friday, November 30,
the with attendance of Director General Koichi Ota of the Department for Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Jerold DeHart,
President of the Support Association for International Students of the University of Aizu (SAISUA), Mr. Norbert Gyorbiro from Hungary
and Mr. Julian Villegas from Columbia on behalf of international students.
The rice will be distributed through SAISUA to international students.
