The University of Aizu "Career Meeting 2008"
The University of Aizu held the "Career Meeting 2008" targeted for 3rd-year students of the Undergraduate School and 1st-year students
of the Graduate School, at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, January 11, 2008.
Approximately 100 students participated in the meeting which was organized by 30 local campanies within Fukushima Prefecture,
Fukushima Prefectural Government, Fukushima Prefectural Police, and 4 special entries from outside the Prefecture.
The meeting opened with a panel discussion titled "Exact Nature of IT-related work". Following the discussion and
brief introductions of the participating companies, students visited booths set up by companies in which they had an interest,
and eagerly sought occupational infomation of the companies from recruitment staff. University graduates who currently
work for the companies personally explained their work to give students more concrete images of what to expect on the job.
Students seemed to have high expectaions for their full-fledged job-hunting season which will start soon.
