Ceremony for Conferment of the Title of Professor Emeritus
The University of Aizu held a ceremony for conferment of the title of Professor Emeritus for Professor Hidesada Kanda
and Professor Hisako Murakawa on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 9:30 a.m.
This title is conferred to individuals who have served as a full professor at the University for a period of
15 years or more and have made significant achievements in their educational and/or academic fields. These professors,
who will be leaving the University at the end of this academic year, have served since the University was opened and made
outstanding contribution to the development of the University.
At the ceremony, President Tsunoyama handed a certificate and a commemorative gift to each of these professors.
