AY 2007 Degree Conferment Ceremony
The University of Aizu held the AY 2007 Degree Conferment Ceremony from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21.
A total of 249 students, 195 from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, 49 from the Master's program of the Graduate
School of Computer Science and Engineering and 5 from the Doctoral program, were conferred a degree. Mr. Takahiro Haneda from
the Department of Computer Software representing graduates of the Undergraduate School and Mr. Yuichi Yaguchi from the Graduate Department
of Information Systems representing students who completed the Master's program, received their certificates from President Tsunoyama
of the University.
The President delivered a message to the graduates expressing his expectations for graduates educated at the University of Aizu becoming globally active and taking a leading
role in the 21st century. Governor Yuhei Sato of the Fukushima Prefectural
Government continued with a congratulatory address to the students.
Scenes of students reminiscing about campus life, taking pictures with professors and friends were seen at the Graduation Party held after the
ceremony.
