Reception of the Encouragement Award in 2006 from the Information Processing Society of Japan, Tohoku Branch
Mr. Naoya Matsumoto, who completed the Master's Program of the Graduate School of Computer Science and Engineering of The University of Aizu, received the Encouragement Award in 2006 from the Information Processing Society of Japan, Tohoku Branch, and a commendation ceremony was held at Tohoku University on Sunday, May 9.

This award is given to up-and-coming young scientists (for whom it has been less than 10 years after finishing their undergraduate education) whose research and skills are significant for advancement of the field of information processing. It was the second time a student from our university received the award. Ms. Loco Sone, a student of the Graduate School, received the award in 2000.
