The first phase of the 6th University of Aizu Campus Festival was held on the weekend of October 24th and 25th ,1998 at the Junior College, and the second phase was held on the weekend of October 31st and November 1st at the School of Computer Science and Engineering.
During the University Festival, research laboratories that are not usually accessible to the public and research being undertaken were made available for public viewing (open campus), and a campus viewing campaign targeting high school students was conducted (School of Computer Science and Engineering only), and these events drew a large number of participants.
This year, SURFACE, singers of the theme song to the drama ``Shomuni", and ``Michinoku prowrestlers" led by Sasuke were invited as guests. The festival was an unprecedented success.
