In midsummer, the Aizu `Sangaku Konwakai' kindly invited the faculty and their families of the University of Aizu to a Summer Evening Party in the Aizu-Wakamatsu Washington Hotel on August 5, 1998. The members of the Konwakai, faculty members of the university, and their families joined the party.
The Aizu `Sangaku Konwakai' is organized by local people in various businesses, who wish to grow together with the University of Aizu and establish friendships with the faculty and their families. The party has been held every year since the university was founded.
