The ICPP-99 was held from September 21 to 24. With some 260 participants about half of whom came from overseas, it was the largest academic meeting over held at the University of Aizu. About 200 guests also attended a banquet in Higashiyama Onsen Hotel Toho.The International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP) is the conference on parallel processing with the oldest traditions. Until last year, the ICPP was held 27 times in North America, and this year it was held outside North America for the first time.
