This is to inform that the follwing two matters were approved at the Directors Meeting of the University of Aizu Organization for The Advancement of Scientific Research held on July 26, 2000.
Outside funds which are currently accepted by the University of Aizu Organization for the Advancement of Scientific Research (hereinafter referred to as ``ORGANIZATION") are grant donations, cooperative research expenses and commissioned research expenses. In the case of fulfilling any of the following requirements, the ORGANIZATION shall pay travel expenses to the student concerned at the request of the faculty member accepting outside funds (hereinafter referred to as ``FACULTY MEMBER."). The standards prescribed by the Prefecture Ordinance on Travel Expenses shall apply to transportation expenses and other expenses.
At present, the period of a contract for commissioned research and cooperative research (hereinafter referred to as ``COMMISSIONED RESEARCH, ETC.") accepted by the University of Aizu Organization for the Advancement of Scientific Research is limited to one year within the fiscal year when the application for COMMISSIONED RESEARCH, ETC. is made. A change shall be made so that a contract for more than one year can be concluded in the future. In this case, the maximum period of a contract (research period) shall be five years as in the cases of national universities.
