The ``Beautiful Fukushima Future Exposition" will be held over a period of 86 days from Saturday, July 7 to Sunday, September 30, 2001, in Sukagawa city, Fukushima Prefecture. The University of Aizu has decided to cooperate in making exhibitions in the ``Future Industry Pavilion" which is one of the pavilions to be managed by the Government of Fukushima Prefecture.
It can be said that making exhibitions in the ``Beautiful Fukushima Future Exposition" will be a perfect opportunity as a part of the University's contributions to the regions and as a place for demonstrating research achievement, etc. of the University which has been conducting advanced education and research.
The system equipment of the Multimedia Center will be installed in the pavilion and the contents of the research conducted by the University will be introduced through demonstration tests on distance transmission via the ``Next Generation Super High-Speed Networks". In addition, computer classes will be offered by arranging ``The University of Aizu Computer Science Summer Camp" which have been carried out since 1997, as the Exposition version.
