Japan Information-Technology Engineers Examination

ĦĦThe Japan Information-Technology Engineers Examination is a national examination conducted to foster IT engineers who will lead society in the area of advanced information in the years to come. The examination is held twice a year in Spring and Autumn. As of May 2001, the total number of applicants was 9.7 million, and the number of successful applicants was 0.93 million. Although dependent on the examination subject, the ratio of successful applicants from the University was relatively higher than that of the national average. It is recommended for students to take this examination proactively, as the status of having passed this test may be regarded as an evaluation criterion for IT engineers in companies, hence reflected in salary increases and promotions.
