On December 14th, ``The University of Aizu Industry-University Cooperation Forum" was held at the University of Aizu Auditorium, with an attendance of more than 300 people attending. This year's theme was ``Technology Innovations! Fukushima Prefecture's Challenge In the New Century". We had the honor of having Mr. Eisaku Sato, the Governor of Fukushima Prefecture and Dr. Akito Arima, a former Minister of Education, Science, Sports, and Culture as guest speakers, and had them have a discussion. In the first part of the forum, Rentaro Yoshioka, a student from the Doctoral Program of the Graduate School, Alexander G. Belyaev, Associate Professor and Atsushi Kara, Professor gave presentations on their individual research. In the evening, there was a Post-Forum Get-Together Party where participants could exchange information. This was an opportunity to further promote industry-university cooperative relationships, and to make the University of Aizu known to many people.
