Election of President of The University of Aizu

Due to the coming expiry of term in office of University President, an election of the new president was conducted on February 16, 2001.

The two candidates, were the incumbent president, Professor Shoichi Noguchi and the current Vice President, Professor Tetsuhiko Ikegami. Vice President Ikegami won the election. The term of office for the new president will be four years, starting from April 1st, 2001.
