On April 6, the University of Aizu entrance ceremony for academic year 2001 was held at the University of Aizu Auditorium. This academic year, a total of 241 new undergraduate students, comprised of 240 students selected from 1,141 applicants and 1 transfer student from the Junior College Division, and a total of 83 new graduate students (76 in the Master's Program and 7 in the Doctoral Program), including 6 international students, enrolled. By origin, 96 undergraduate students came from within Fukushima Prefecture and 144 students from 32 prefectures outside Fukushima Prefecture.
