University of Aizu Newsletter in Fukushima Minpo to continue

It has been decided that the University of Aizu Newsletter, which has been appearing in the Aizu regional edition of Fukushima Minpo newspaper every Thursday since April last year, will continue in this fiscal year starting in April. We hope that our articles will reflect well on the regional community and others outside the university and bring the university much more appealing and closer to them. Please contact the planning and PR team if you have topics of interest you would like to share.

Doctoral theses presentation

On March 18, 2003, the second doctoral theses presentation was held in the large lecture room. Four graduate students enrolled in the doctoral program (one completing the course in autumn and three in spring) each made presentation for about an hour, which included an explanation on the process of completing the thesis.
After completion of their courses, two are expected to become researchers, one to become a lecturer at a university outside the University of Aizu, and one to join a private company. We wish for their future success in their careers.

Graduation ceremony

On March 25, 2003, the seventh graduation ceremony of the University of Aizu School of Computer Science and Engineering and the ninth completion ceremony of the Graduate School of Computer Science and Engineering were held in the University of Aizu Auditorium.
