*New Organization of the Administrative Office

Given that "FF type administrative organizations" were introduced in all bureaus in FY2003, the University abolished all "departments" and "sections" within its administrative organization, and restructured them into "areas" and "groups" as of April 1st, 2004, with the aim of realizing "expeditious and flexible administrative management that places importance on policies and circumstances relevant to the University". (The Student Affairs Division remains unchanged under the current organization.)
"Areas," while retaining the flexibility to respond to changes in circumstances swiftly, include a multiple number of "groups," and are responsible for handling a fixed range of policies whilst maintaining unity as an "area."
"Groups" are affiliated to "areas" and are responsible for dealing with a fixed range of administrative tasks with flexibility, timeliness and expertise.
