We apply computer algebra methods to solve the problems arising in physics of semiconductor devices. The main idea of the solution is based on the expansion of unknown functions in a series of functions (polynomials, exponents, etc.) without truncation on a first or second terms, and solution of the obtained system of algebraic equations for coefficients of the expansion using symbolic computations, provided by such systems as Mathematica or Maple.
The results show that this method is rather efficient and provide better accuracy to describe physical systems than conventional analytical approaches.
