The FAST group investigates and develops various advanced
software engineering techniques which cover several phases of the software
life-cycle,
and has worked to create new strategies and approaches to establish a
software engineering
framework for improving software development and maintenance.
The main areas of research and publication in 1994--95 for this project
include:
- Generation of a software engineering environment to support the development
and maintenance of a wide range of software systems with various profiles
- Application of algebraic engineering as a mathematical foundation and
analysis approach for object-oriented design
- Multimodel-based complex system specification and prototyping
- Enhancement of EASE (the Enhanced Aizu Standard Environment) in the
practical areas of user-cooperative system administration, software
consistency, and interoperability
- Models for software re-use
