As of this academic year, public lectures initiated by the University of Aizu since June 1993 have been delivered 48 times to a total of 4,428 participants. By planning courses and lectures for junior high and high school students as well as parents and their children, the university aims to fulfill its role as a university that meets regional needs.
The achievements of the public lectures held in academic year 1997 are shown below. The university also plans to hold many lectures in 1998. Details are provided in the second issue.
