As for achievement in FY 2009, new general academic exchange agreements were concluded
with 6 universities in Korea, Russia, India, Portugal, Taiwan and USA. The total
number of academic exchange partner universities has increased to 47. Also, practical
activities based on these agreements were proactively conducted, for instance, research
collaboration, promotion of the Dual Degree Program (DDP) and International Credit
Exchange Program (ICEP), organization of international conferences and exchange activities
among faculty and students in cooperation with partner universities. As specific
exchanges, two students are accepted for DDP and sent/hosted the short-term / longterm
overseas study abroad programs, which strengthened activities for promotion of
international exchange. CSIP events and activities reports were also posted through the
Center ’s website. For the purpose of promotion of strategic and sustainable international exchange at the University, a guidance model for conclusion of exchange agreements with universities abroad and a map for strategies of international programs were created, and evaluations of frequency and actual exchange activities with current partner institutions were also implemented. To make a better strategic activities, The CSIP advisory board are held in March, 2010 with consisting of 2 external members and 8 members from within the University to evaluate the university ’s activities related to international exchange from various perspectives, and summarized the international activities of CSIP for the past five years as“Strategic Fund for Establishing International Headquarters in Universities” supported by MEXT ended in FY 2009.
