Aizu Buke-Yashiki

One of the biggest tourist attractions in Aizu-Wakamatsu, but worth seeing anyway. A reproduction of the 35-room residence of a leading retainer of the Aizu clan, this large manor gives a wonderful idea of how samurai lived during the Edo period (1603-1867). The main attraction is completely restored "Karo yashiki" or residence to a feudal lord and there are lots of other buildings as well.
