~ the last lord of this castle ~

The surrender of Tsurugajo marked the end of the samurai society. Under the new goverment, the castle was destroy in 1874, but was rebuilt in 1965 with the enthusiasic support of local citizens. A concrete structure with some wooden decor, it is surrounded by a huge stone wall and moat. The white tower rising in the blue sky provides a splendid view of the town.
