Finite element mesh browser is a demonstration Java applet showing main features of the correspondent Java application. You can try GUI with one three-dimensional mesh composed of 20-noded quadratic elements. Main principle: Press the button to select a desired action then drag mouse to perform selected action.        [ Screenshot ]
Assembly of the global stiffness matrix in the finite element method The global stiffness matrix K can be filled in a quite different manner depending on the node order of the finite element mesh. Java applet JASSEM demonstrates graphically the fill of the global matrix by contributions from finite elements.        [Screenshot ]
Analysis of elastic-plastic crack-tip fields is based on the three-term elastic-plastic asymptotic expansion of stress fields. The applet allows the user: (a) to obtain angular function of the three-term asymptotic expansion; (b) to determine the amplitude parameter A in addition to the J-integral; (c) to compare graphically asymptotic field with specified finite element data.
Transformation of CTOD Delta5. Delta5 is a displacement of points located 2.5 mm above and below crack tip at the specimen surface. The Java applet transforms CTOD Delta5 to CTOD DeltaBS and J-integral for CT and 3PB specimens.
