- Mar. 2026: We received another multi-year research grant from JSPS (Japan)

- Five master students and six undergraduate students graduated in AY2025!

- Sept. 2025: Jean received the President Award in the graduation ceremony

- Prof. Truong serves as the workshop co-chair of ACM MMsys2026.

- Jan. 2025: Chibuike, our PhD student, was awarded the famous 2-year Rotary scholarship.

- Dec. 2024: Prof. Truong worked as an evaluator of Europe Union funded projects.

- Feb. 2024: Tomoki and Kaixi successfully defended their master theses

- Jan. 2024: Mr. Yamaguchi, our former student, visited and presented his work

- Prof. Truong serves as TCP member of IEEE ICME2024 and ACM ICMR2024

- Oct. 2023: Chibuike and Shihao joined our group as new PhD students

- Feb. 2022: Prof. Truong worked as a reviewer for Swiss National Science Foundation.

- Two short papers on quantum machine learning were accepted to IEEE Int’l Conf. on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE22).

- Jul. 2022: Tuyen Nguyen received a full scholarship to study PhD course in University of Technology Sydney.

- Apr. 2022: We received a 3-year research grant from JSPS (Japan)

- Dr. Huyen Tran will start working in the famous RIKEN institute from Oct. 2021. She will do research on visual content processing and analysis for robots.

- Dr. Nguyen, our master and PhD alumnus, is offered a lecturer position in Tohoku Institute of Tech. Congratulations to Nguyen-sensei !!!

- Oct. 2020: Dr. Huyen Tran starts working as the postdoc researcher.

- Jan. 2020: Huyen received the Outstanding Paper Award, The NEC C&C Foundation (only three recipients each year), Japan.

- Duc is offered a researcher position in the famous KDDI Research. We are happy to see how he has matured significantly during the last 3 years!

- Anh Nguyen begins her career with an AI start-up on autonomous cars.

- Prof. Truong serves as a TPC member of IEEE ICC 2019 and IEEE QoMEX 2019.

- Prof. Truong serves as a TPC member of ACM Multimedia in 2019

- Hung’s paper is accepted in IEEE TCSVT. It is his 10^th journal paper :D

- Prof. Truong serves as a TPC member of ACM Multimedia in 2018

- Prof. Truong will serve as a TPC member of ACM NOSSDAV and IEEE ICC in 2018

- President Award to Huyen Tran (by University of Aizu’s president, 2017).

- A new work on VR is accepted as a full paper in the IEEE ISM2017, with acceptance rate of 23%.

- Huyen Tran successfully finished her master course with 4 major journal papers (3 as the 1^st author), 2017.

- Hung T. Le successfully defended his PhD thesis, 2017. During the last 4 years, he has contributed in 7 journal papers, with some more pending.

- Hung T. Le got a very good R&D job in Tokyo, 2017.

- Prof. Truong served as a TPC member of ACM NOSSDAV 2017.

- "Third place of best student papers" to D. V. Nguyen (in annual IEEE Conf. on Consumer Electronics, Las Vegas, 2015).

- "ICCE Young Scientist Paper Award" to D. V. Nguyen (by Japan chapter of the IEEE CE society, 2015).
