Signing of Cooperative Agreement with DAITO Bank, Ltd.

The University of Aizu (President, Shigeaki Tsunoyama) and DAITO Bank, Ltd. (President, Hideyuki Nose) signed an agreement regarding university-industry cooperation on Monday, March 30. This agreement aims to facilitate exchange of information toward matching of research and technologies that have been worked on at the University and needs from companies that the bank has collected, and to contribute to development of local communities and promotion of industries in creation of new technologies and businesses.
The signing ceremony was held at 10:15 a.m. with attendance of relevant people from both parties. President Tsunoyama of the University of Aizu first gave an explanation regarding the background and process of the agreement. Following that, President Nose of DAITO bank gave a brief speech, stating that "development of companies requires construction of systems as their infrastructure. The University of Aizu is greatly expected for its technological expertise for construction of such systems. We, the DAITO Bank would like to contribute to coordination between our customers' needs and research conducted at the University." President Tsunoyama, then expressed high expectation regarding the bank for its community-based business operations and referred to cooperation in educational aspects, taking an example on the internship program, stating that "we would like to ask cooperation from the DAITO Bank in bridging between the University and companies which can accept our students as interns."
