Memorandum of Agreement for an International Credit Exchange Program (ICEP) between the University of Aizu and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (USA)

On Monday, November 12, 2007, an official Memorandum of Agreement for an International Credit Exchange Program (ICEP) was concluded between the University of Aizu (UoA) and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT). RHIT has been an international partner of UoA since May 2006, when a general agreement between the two universities was first signed Founded on guidelines established in the general agreement, the new ICEP has been put in place thanks to the efforts of Professor Thomas Orr at the UoA and university executives at RHIT.
Director General Takashi Saito along with Professor Kenichi Kuroda, Dean of the Undergraduate School of Computer Science and Engineering, and three other staff members from the UoA visited RHIT to conclude the Memorandum, which now allows undergraduate students to earn credits at the host university for official recognition at their home university. This joint study environment will allow students at both the UoA and RHIT to earn university credits in a more flexible way so they can further their international and academic development.
