Research Presentations Given by International Students at the Fukushima Information Industry Association

On Friday, December 7, 2007, three international students of the University of Aizu gave presentations on their research at a steering committee meeting of the Fukushima Information Industry Association.
The University has established a scholarship system to assist international students enrolled in master's and doctoral programs of the Graduate School. An opportunity to read research papers at the meeting was given to the international students who had applied for these scholarships. The scholarship system also aims for return of benefits to local society arising from the acceptance of international students into the University. The research presentations with a short introduction of their home countries were conducted in Japanese. The attendants at the meeting took great interests in the research contents and had many questions about the applications regarding their practical use.
