Certification of Aizu-Produced Information Technology in 2007
Mr. Katsuyuki Watanabe, a doctoral student of the University of Aizu, received the Incentive Award, "Certification
of Aizu-Produced Information Technology in 2007". His certified technology was "Creation Support System for DAISY
(Digital Accessible Information SYstem)" and a conferment ceremony was held at Aizu-Wakamatsu City Hall on Monday, January 21.
Aizu-Wakamatsu City certifies exellent technologies and business models newly-developed by citizens and corporations within
the city.
A total of 4 certifications were conferred in 2007 including two awards for technologies developed by venture companies launched
from the University; a Grand Prix for NST Laboratory, Inc. and an Incentive Award for Eyes, JAPAN Co. Ltd.. Moreover, the developers
of Eyes, JAPAN's certified technology are 2 master students of the University, Mr. Takayuki Hattori and Mr. Yorinobu Mine.
