Cooking Class at the Junior College Division

The University of Aizu held a cooking class at a cooking laboratory of the Junior College Division on Saturday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. 26 students took this class and tried their hand at making mixed-grain rice, chunky soup with many ingredients and some side dishes under the instruction of Ms. Kazu Suzuki, Lecturer, and Ms. Akiko Taniguchi, Lab Assistant of the Department of Food and Nutrition of the Junior College Division.
The University established a new support program for students, "Project 240 + ƒ¿ Graduates", which aims to graduate 240 students yearly from the University, that is equal to the yearly admissions capacity at the University. This program provides necessary support for students regarding learning, careers, and mental and physical health. This cooking class was a part of the program and the University will continuously offer dietary instruction and nutritional guidance to students for a healthy life on campus.
The next class was scheduled for Saturday, February 23.
