Graduate School-IT Specialist Courses and Seminars
The Graduate School of the University of Aizu has invited lecturers from other universities and some companies to give
IT Specialist Courses and Seminars.
The Special Seminar, "Real information technology - from the field's view of a large-scale system development project for
Tokyo Electric Power Company-", was held at the University-Business Innovation Center, from 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 24.
Approximately 20 students from the University participated in the Seminar. This Seminar was held as a part of a project for education
of IT Specialists, and Mr. Tomonobu Tago, a director at TEPCO Systems Corporation, gave a lecture about technologies which are
in demand in the real world, and included an explanation on system requirements specifications, definition of requirements,
and case studies regarding project development. The roles of four of our graduates who are how working at this company were also introduced.
A series of lectures on "Distance Learning System Development" was given by Professor Timothy Shih from Tamkang University
in Taiwan, from Tuesday, February 12 to Thursday, February 14. Professor Shih give a total of 7 lectures in the series, and graduate students
took part in these lectures.
