Information Exchange Meeting with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies
Based upon an agreement signed between the University of Aizu and Kyoto University of
Foreign Studies (KUFS) in November of last year, a meeting for information exchange was held
at KUFS on Saturday, May 31, to discuss exchange activities to be implemented in the future.
From the University of Aizu, Director General Kanemoto of the Department for Student Affiars
attended the meeting with Mr. Mitsuhiro Katahira, President of the Student Association,
Ms. Atsumi Kobayashi, Chairperson of the Club Activities Union, and Mr. Tetsuya Takanashi,
Chairperson of the University Festival Excective Commitee. The meeting focused on exchange activities
among students. Representatives from both universities introduced their student activities
on campus and exchanged ideas for contents of future exchanges.
President Tsunoyama is scheduled to visit KUFS again on Thursday, June 5, to exchange information
regarding education and research activities. Student representatives from KUFS will also visit
the University of Aizu in late June, to advance necessary considerations regarding the exchanges.
