Fund-raising Campaign for Victims of the Sichuan Earthquake
A group of international students and faculty members from China and Taiwan of the University of
Aizu, including Mr. Deze Zeng, a 1st-year student of the Master's Program, from the Sichuan Province,
China, organized a fund-raising campaign for victims of the Sichuan Earthquake to provide assistance towards
early recovery from the disaster. Donation boxes have been placed from Monday, May 26,
to Tuesday, June 10, at the following locations. At an event held at the University the other day,
the group also collected donations from vistors to assist the campaign.
Mr. Zene said, "Victims of the disaster are feeling very vulnerable. I believe that there are
no borders for supporting the victims. The campaign will continue through June 10th.
Please contribute to help the victims."
The donations will be sent to a special account for the Earthquake victims opened by the Embassy of The People's
Republic of China in Japan.
