Exchange of Students with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies
Professor Okamoto, Director of the Student Affairs Division, and 4 students from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies
(KUFS) visited the University of Aizu on Saturday, June 28. Following a previous meeting held at KUFS on Saturday,
May 31, the aim of the visit was to disscuss more practical ideas for future exchanges among students from both universities.
From the Univerisity of Aizu, student representatives from the Student Association, the Club Activities Union and
the University Festival Executive Committee attended the meeting. They made proposals on communication between
students belonging to English and music-related clubs. To consider more mutual exchanges at both university
festivals, they introduced the current activities conducted by each of the committees and various programs scheduled
for this year.
A campus tour introducing the characteristic education and research facilities of the University of Aizu, including
workstations, the Language Media Laboratory, and the Anechoic Chamber, was also conducted for the group from KUFS by
our student representatives. Through the visit, they deepened mutual understanding between both universities.
Further consideration will be given toward realization of the proposals.
