Computer Science Summer Camp at the University of Aizu in 2008

The "Computer Science Summer Camp (CSSC) at the University of Aizu in 2008" which was held starting on August 4, finished its four-day three-night program, and the closing ceremony was held at the University Auditorium on Thursday, August 7.
57 junior and senior high school students from around the country participated in the 12th CSSC this year. Participants chose one of 3 courses; puzzle/game programming, Java programming, and 3D computer graphics, and acquired programming skills under the instruction of the University students. They also enjoyed extracurricular activities for interaction with each other students at a lodge where they spent their nights.
At the closing ceremony, students representing each course received a certificate of completion from Professor Nikishkov of the University on behalf of the Chairperson of the CSSC Executive Committee. One junior high school student gave his thoughts saying that "Unlike at home, where I usually do my computer study on my own, it was very interesting for me to work together within a group on tasks."
Even after the ceremony, many of the students stayed at the Auditorium to take pictures and to exchange their address to keep in contact with each other.
