Aizu IT Summer Forum 2008
The Aizu IT Summer Forum 2008 was held at the University of Aizu on Friday, September 12. The forum marked its second anniversary
this year, and was hosted by an executive committee consisting of the University of Aizu, Microsoft Corporation, F-COM co., Ltd and several
local organizations. Under the theme of "Realizing the future of Information Technology," keynote lectures and special-interest
group meetings were conducted by invited speakers from major IT-related companies in Japan. Trends and strategies for cutting-edge
technologies, some examples of utilization of information technologies in fields related to agriculture, and establishment of regional
relationships between global companies and local communities were introduced during the lectures.
A product fair by companies which had been conferred the title of "Venture Business Launched from the University of Aizu" was
also held at the site.
