Oath by the new students

The University of Aizu Graduate School Entrance Ceremony for autumn admission in the AY 2008 was held on Wednesday, October 1 from 10:00 a.m. President Tsunoyama granted 14 students admission to the Master's Program and 5 students to the Doctoral Program. Following an address given by the President, Ms. Kaori Ota, who enrolled in the Doctoral Program, gave an oath on behalf of the new students.
New students in the Master's Program included 9 international students from China, Korea, and Vietnam who were accepted into the University's program for fostering of global IT leaders. The program was accepted for the FY 2008 Project for Fostering High Level International Professions under the Career Development Program for Foreign Students from Asia jointly supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. For the purpose of nurturing global human resources who can lead the IT industry in Japanese companies, the University will provide professional IT education such as system development skills, as well as Japanese business training and Japanese language education programs in collaboration with venture businesses in local communities and well-established companies in Japan.
