Lecture Meeting "Climate Research for Local Communities"

The University of Aizu held a lecture meeting titled "Climate Research for Local Communities" jointly with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) on Thursday, March 19, at the University-Business Innovation Center.
This lecture meeting aimed to inform the public about the University's new collaborative research on local environmental information science to be conducted with JAMSTEC, the National Agricultural Research Organization, Fukushima University and the University of Tokyo. The University's approach to this research was introduced and renowned researchers in the field of meteorology were invited to the lecture meeting to give lectures on problems regarding climate variation that the world faces today, relevant predictive studies, and the measures against global warming that Fukushima Prefectural Government has taken to address the issues.
