The University of Aizu and the Shoko Chukin Bank, Fukushima Branch signed an agreement regarding promotion of university-industry cooperation.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2006, the University of Aizu and the Shoko Chukin Bank, Fukushima Branch signed an agreement to promote university-industry cooperation in local areas, and thus to contribute to vitalization of small and medium- sized companies in local areas and advancement of local communities, while maintaining a close relationship in effectively disseminating the University's research achievements to local communities and exchanging information.

The two organizations are expected to work on:

  1. Coordination between seeds produced as research results at the University and technical needs of small and medium- sized companies in local areas.
  2. Giving advice to client companies of the Shoko Chukin Bank, Fukushima Branch in terms of technical consultations.
  3. Accumulation of information regarding technical needs of small and medium- sized companies in local areas and provision of information in response to these needs.
