Memorandum regarding on Promotional Use of "SELENE" Exploratory Data
The Public University Corporation, The University of Aizu has agreed upon a memorandum regarding on promotional use of "SELENE" (SELenological and ENgineering Explore) exploratory data with the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
- 1 Objective
- For promotional use of SELENE exploratory data, the both organizations will conduct intellectual and personnel collaboration and cooperation upon an aim of constructing 3-Dimentional Geographic Information System (hereinafter 3-DGIS) using SELENE explanatory data.
- 2 Operations
- To carry out the objective, cooperation upon the following research and development will be carried out.
- (1)Research and development of data set creation methods and tools by combining SELENE mission instruments of all kinds for the construction of GIS using SELENE exploratory data.
- (2)Research and development of methods of digitalizing data sets, visualizing data, and tools of GIS for the construction of 3-DGIS.

- Friday, March 16, 2007
- Instead of a signing ceremony of the memorandum, a courtesy visit will be held at the time of the SELENE launch in summer this year.
