International Students Participation in a Feedback Forum for Exchange of Opinions regarding "City Development"
A feedback forum for of exchange of opinions between The Support Association for International Students of The University of Aizu (SAISUA)
and a working group consisting of members from the Aizu-Wakamatsu Public Works Office and the Aizu-Wakamatsu City Construction Department,
was held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007. The topic of the meeting was "City Development" through the eyes of international tourists" and 8 students from Columbia, Sri Lanka, China, India and Korea,
and 3 faculty members from the U.S. Nigeria, and England, participated in the meeting.
Participants were asked for their opinions on directional signs on roads, tourist maps, etc. used by the city. They talked about their experiences, and expressed
their views for improvement by introducing informational signs used in their countries. These opinions will be utilized for future city development.
