ISTC consists of the Information Processing Center and the University Library.
ISTC's main purpose is to provide information services through computer facilities and library services.

Besides providing regular services, IPC staff provided the following supports during FY 2004.

Replacement of workstations in Computer Exercise Room 1 through 2, replacement of workstations for graduate students use, and replacement of related servers.
Construction of a new ThinClient system for CAI Rooms and faculty use.
Replacement of the LML system with a new LML system.
Providing user environment for using workstations in Seminar Room 6.

Concerning Library services, 528 volumes Japanese Books, 301 volumes Foreign Books, 123 Japanese Magazines, and 342 foreign Magazines were purchased with 2004 regular budget.

In recent years, rapid development on Web-based contents and learning support systems has been made. More and more support methods not only based on the level and ability of learners, but also considering learners' psychological states, have been proposed. But since the psychological states are very complicated, how to understand learner's psychological states becomes an important problem to be solved. In this research, we provide a method to grasp learner's psychological states and the change of the psychological states by using two viewpoints of learning order patterns and the reaction patterns in learning process. We analyze the learner's learning habits by combining the two viewpoints. When a learner takes actions that are di??erent from his/her learning habits, the system infers the reason to understand the change of learner's psychological states. Based on the proposed method, a Web-based support system is developed
