Atsushi Kara Professor	Senro Saito Associate Professor

The current research topics at the Computer Communications Laboratory (CCL) include: virtual private networks, Internet traffic visualization, and optical communications (from AY2005). Education at CCL includes teaching students the Request For Comments (RFC) issued by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The success of the Internet depends on the accumulation of technical proposals and standards in the form of RFC. The numerous RFC documents are the main source of internetworking technologies. Educating students to read RFC carefully is an important step for advancing their research potential in the internetworking area.
