ISTC consists of the Information Processing Center and the University Library.
ISTC's main purpose is to provide information services through computer facilities and library services.

Besides providing regular services, ISTC staff provided the following supports in FY 2006.

Replacement of workstations in Computer Exercise Room 5-6 and replacement of related servers
Making wireless LAN connection services available at Lecture room M11 through M14
Discussion about providing web-mail services for faculty members
Discussion about providing PC education activities supporting system services in Hardware Workshop 1 and 2
Discussion about changing Microsoft School Agreement to Microsoft Campus Agreement
Discussion about providing double 100Mbps connection services to TOPIC.
Discussion about the new administration systems
Making University Library services available to outside users.

Concerning University Library services, 629 volumes Japanese Books, 247 volumes Foreign Books, 90 Japanese Magazines, 292 Foreign Magazines, 3 Japanese Electronic Journals, 232 Foreign Electronic Journals, and 5 search databases were purchased with 2006 regular budget.
