Aizu Festival
The most prominent festival, it takes place fourtimes a year in Aizu-Wakamatsu.
The biggest event is the threeday autumn festival beginning on September 22,
which features a large "samurai" procession that wends its way
through the streets of the city around Tsurugajo Castle.
During the winter festival in February, fireworks light up the
night sky over snow-covered Aizu.
